Closing The Bones

Price and details will be decided with the mom

The Closing of the Bones/Cerrada is a rite of passage where the postpartum mother is anointed, massaged and wrapped in the Mayan tradition.
There is a calling of her spirit back to herself as she has been a portal for carrying new life, and has walked the threshold between worlds.
Generally the process literally helps to “close” the body of a Mother after the birth, which is an opening by itself. This is primarily a ceremony to celebrate the rite of passage and does focus on healing the body physically, emotionally and spiritually.

As a trauma informed certified doula with specialized expertise in Postpartum Depression, I have years of experience helping women feel soothed, supported, and cared for. After my Intensive Training Certification on Rebozo Medicine (Angelina Martinez Miranda) in 2021, I was granted the title of Guardian of the Rebozo, listed as a practitioner (https://yosoygaia.com/rebozo-practitionersdirectory/#tab-id-11) and authorized to perform this ceremony (also called Cerrada) . The rebozo carries with it a long and sacred history that I intend to honor it by bringing knowledge and healing to other women through its use. In addition you may request to receive energetic healing to help restore the natural flow of energy in your body.
