Gentle support for your family as your little one grows
The journey into parenthood doesn’t end after the postpartum period.
For many families, the first years bring new challenges: returning to work, finding reliable childcare, balancing family life, or simply needing an extra pair of trusted hands.
Whether you need occasional support or regular care for a period of time, I offer a calm, nurturing and family-centred approach that helps you navigate this transition with confidence.
My goal is simple: to give your family the support you need, when you need it most.
A trusted extension of your parenting journey
One of the greatest gifts for a young child is continuity.
If I have already supported you during pregnancy, birth or postpartum, your child already knows me. This familiar relationship can make transitions feel safer and more comfortable for everyone.
If we haven’t met before, I take time to build trust gently and respectfully, always following your child’s individual rhythm and personality.
When families usually reach out
Every family is different, but you might benefit from Early Family Support if you:
- are returning to work before your child starts kindergarten
- need support while waiting for a kindergarten place
- work shifts or irregular hours
- have little or no family nearby
- are an international or expat family building your support network in Norway
- simply need a trusted person to support your family during a busy season of life
What support can include
Every family receives a personalised plan based on their needs.
Support may include:
- responsive care for babies and young children
- play and age-appropriate developmental activities
- outdoor walks and nature exploration
- meal preparation and feeding
- nap and daily routine support
- language-rich interaction through play, songs and stories
- emotional co-regulation and gentle guidance
- practical family support where appropriate
My approach always respects your family’s routines, values and parenting choices.
My approach
I believe young children thrive when they feel safe, seen and deeply connected.
My background as a postpartum doula, nutritional advisor and educator allows me to support not only your child, but your family’s wellbeing as a whole.
With an early education background as both a preschool and primary school teacher, I combine child development knowledge with years of experience supporting families during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
Rather than simply providing childcare, I aim to create a nurturing environment where children can feel secure, curious and free to explore the world at their own pace.
Flexible support
Support can be arranged according to your family’s needs.
For example:
- occasional care
- regular weekly support
- short-term transition support
- customised family care plans
Together we will create a solution that works for your family.
Is this the right support for your family?
Every family is unique, and I intentionally keep my availability limited so I can offer personalised care.
If you would like to explore whether Early Family Support is the right fit for your family, I would love to hear from you.
Investment
Every family has different needs, and support is tailored to your situation.
Early Family Support is offered at an hourly rate, with a minimum booking time to make the support meaningful for both your family and your child.
Minimum booking: 4 hours per visit.
For families looking for regular weekly support, a personalised arrangement can be discussed.
What affects the price?
The final arrangement depends on:
- frequency of support
- number of hours needed
- age and needs of your child
- type of support required
